This isn't a blip—it's a structural shift. The crypto industry has been architected for a user that no longer exists. The day trader of 2017 is being replaced by a passive accumulator who moves capital once a quarter and thinks 'gas war' is a weekend barbecue dispute.

Context: The Binance Signal

The report, sourced from Binance's internal user behavior data, covers stock trading activity—not crypto. But the signal is clear: the next generation of investors prefers low-friction, low-cost, low-maintenance exposure. ETFs provide that. Crypto, in its current form, does not. The industry's entire value proposition—decentralized exchanges, yield farming, NFT flips—assumes high frequency, high engagement, and high risk tolerance. Gen Z's data suggests the opposite. They are not the yolo traders of 2021; they are the dollar-cost-averagers of 2030.

This matters for Layer2s. The bull case for rollups has always been: scale to capture the next wave of retail users who will trade every block.
