  1. They commoditize the security layer — making it hard for smaller fintechs to differentiate on safety.
  2. They gather behavioral data — every user of the tool, even local deployments, will likely contribute to the rule engine and help train Brex’s detection models (if they opt into telemetry, which the default setup probably does).
